An Important Note on Subscriptions
It is important to note that subscriptions for Liminal Press in our first year are only for the first two launch issues that will be published in 2027. Subscriptions do not keep rolling and payments are not renewed beyond this.
A subscription taken out at any stage between the present day and the end of 2027 will provide:
- Issue#Zero - Hinter - in Winter/January 2027
- Issue#One - Gloam - in Summer/July 2027
If a new subscription is taken during the publication cycle of the second issue above, then you will simply receive both issues together.
If you choose to purchase a single issue initially then we would advise that you do not subscribe as you may receive a duplication. If we are able to prevent this from our side then we will contact you to let you know. In such case, for your completion of the 2027 set, we would recommend that you purchase the issue you need individually via the order form.
Note that from 2028 we expect to increase our publishing to a seasonal frequency - 4 issues per year. At this stage we will launch rolling and renewable subscriptions. Everyone who purchases or joins Liminal Press this year will be made aware.
What is Issue#Zero?
Issue#Zero is Liminal Press' special prelude edition: a rare, small‑run launch issue that marks the beginning of our life in print. It contains bold and original writing and art and will only ever be printed once.
Founding Subscribers will have their names included in this issue and will receive other exclusive items in exchange for their support. Issue#Zero can be ordered as part of a Founding Subscription, a Standard Subscription or ordered on its own without the need to subscribe.
Subscriptions can be either print or digital.
When will the issues be published?
Issue Zero - HINTER - will be released in Winter 2027/January.
Issue One - GLOAM - will follow in Summer 2027/July.
Both print and digital issues will be sent within 3-5 days of publication.
What’s the difference between the Standard Subscription and the Founding Subscriber tier?
The Standard Subscription (£18/£10 year) gives you both launch issues (print or digital), plus subscriber bonuses.
The Founding Subscriber tier (£25/£18 one‑time) includes everything in the Standard Subscription plus exclusive launch items and your name printed in Issue#Zero. This tier is limited and will never be offered again. It will only run up to 31st Dec 2026, just ahead of the issue's print and publication in January.
For all subscription types subscribers gain early access to submissions windows and early booking options for courses, workshops and creative sessions.
Can I subscribe in digital‑only format?
Yes. Digital‑only subscriptions are available. All print subscribers automatically receive the digital edition free.
How will digital editions be delivered?
Digital editions are sent directly to your email as PDF/epub files within 3-5 day of publication.
How small are the print runs?
Our earliest issues will be intentionally small‑run, making them rare and collectible. A subscription guarantees your copies regardless of demand. By offering the opportunity to pre-order this will help us to track demand and subsequently ensure the print run fulfils orders.
Will my name definitely appear in Issue#Zero if I’m a Founding Subscriber?
Yes. If you choose to be a Founding Subscriber and provide the name you’d like printed in the order form, it will appear in the Founding List inside Issue#Zero. You can also opt out if you would prefer not to be listed.
Do you ship internationally?
Initially we do not expect to receive many orders from overseas. If you are interested in ordering then please get in touch first so we can work it out.
How do I update my address or subscription details?
Just email us. We can update your address or personal details. We are not corporate or bureaucratic. We just want you enjoy your time with us. We won't make it difficult to unsubscribe for example and we won't bombard you with spam.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. All payments are processed through encrypted checkout systems. We don't see or store your card details.
What happens after I subscribe?
You’ll receive a confirmation email. Print and digital editions will arrive in your inbox within 3-5 days of release day. Founding Subscribers will receive a welcome letter confirming their exclusive launch items.
Can I cancel my subscription?
After year one, there is no automatic renewal process. A subscription currently runs for the duration of our first two issues only.
If a subscription is started midway between issues then you will receive the current issue as your first.
If it is started during the release cycle of the second issue then you will receive the first and second together.
We are unable to offer refunds on subscriptions. Once a subscription is taken in year one it simply runs for two issues. No subscription payments are automatically renewed after this as we plan to increase to four issues in year two.
Founding Subscriber is only available up until 31st December 2026.
Why should I subscribe now?
Subscribing early helps support independent publishing. It ensures you receive our rare first editions and places you at the very beginning of Liminal Press' story. Your support genuinely shapes what the journal becomes.
